The singer released her debut single Here in 2015 at the age of 19 years old. This single received a lot of acclaim and was well received both by critics and listeners. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked the single at 19. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs of 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks which reached the top spots on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. The song was unique since a lot of people reacted to her interview with rapper Rap-Up on her journey in learning to love and embrace her. Cara's music is known to include messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggle with mental illness, insomnia as well as other problems. Reuters stated that she calls her album "half turbulent, and half finished". She says she grew through therapy, and encourages other people to get help when they need it. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11, 1996, to parents with Italian descent. Her first guitar was purchased by her parents after she turned 10 which ignited her passion for music. She began to cover the songs she loved at 13, to prove to everyone that she could sing and had the courage necessary to be a singer. In fact, one of her cover song Sweater Weather was the track that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and create her own music.
